Yes, all equipment including Wetsuit and Buoyancy aid is provided for you.
Will I need a wetsuit?
Wetsuits are optional, although most of our paddlers prefer to go without it during the warmer days as it can get warm under there :) In winter, wetsuits/drysuits are highly advised. Thermals and waterproofs can also be worn. This is your own personal choice, we can only advise/recommend on SUP Wear and will always ask on the day if you feel ok, your safety is our priority. We always want to prepare for submersion.
What do i wear?
We recommend wearing comfy gym clothes eg leggings/shorts and a t shirt in the summer. In the winter, you'll need a wetsuit and some waterproofs to go over, especially if its raining. Footwear in summer is optional but is recommended on Canal Paddles, and shoes are a must in Winter. I would recommend waterproof walking shoes, they're very comfy or surf booties. Common sense must prevail, if it's cold, please dress accordingly and bring a change of spare clothes in case you fall in (we always want to prepare for submersion, even if that isn't the case). We advise against bringing valuables on the water. If you want to bring them on board, do so at your own risk as Liverpool SUP Co cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage. Lockers are available on site at our docks location.
Where do we meet?
Meeting points depend on where we launch from & what time. Once you've booked in, an email will be sent out with a link on what to wear, bring, and where to meet, please check your emails.
I have an injury, can i still SUP?
SUP is for everyone, but some things we need to know about. There is a waiver attached to the booking page with the option to let your instructor know if you are or have previously been injured. Please complete the waiver as its secure, confidential and is there to keep your data and wellbeing safe.
What age can you paddle from?
Children can paddle, on their own board (or one provided by us) from the age of 8. All children under the age of 18 must be accompanied on the session by an adult. We do not allow children under the age of 16 onto our mixed group paddles unless they have previously paddled with us before and our competent within a group. This is to keep them, and everyone else in the group, safe. Your safety is our priority. Please get in touch if you have any questions.
Will i stand up?
Maybe, everyone is different. Coaching will be given on the day :P
Will i fall in?
Another maybe :) We will be on hand to keep you safe and will cut the session short if we feel you may be at risk.
I have my own gear, can i come too?
Of course, just use the code OWNSUP when booking for discount off your session.
